Chief Financial Officer

Description
Chosen by Grace Family Services is a small nonprofit group home dedicated to serving veterans. The organization is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial oversight on a part-time, stipend basis.

This role is ideal for a retired CFO, CPA, finance professional, or fractional CFO who is passionate about nonprofit work and veteran services.

Key Details

  • 5–10 hours per month

  • Fully remote

  • Stipend-based compensation (discussed during interview)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial management and reporting

  • Provide guidance on budgeting, cash flow, and financial planning

  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial and reporting requirements

  • Support grant reporting and funding compliance as needed

  • Advise leadership on financial best practices and sustainability

  • Coordinate with external accountants or auditors, if applicable

Qualifications

  • Experience as a CFO, Controller, CPA, or senior finance professional

  • Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and compliance preferred

  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills

  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a remote environment

  • Commitment to the mission of serving veterans
